Rosebud Perfume Company just came out with their ever-popular salve, in a tube! How clever are they? Application has never been easier! We still love the old-fashioned tins, though, and have restocked them in the Original Salve as well as all of the company's best balms: Mocha Rose, Minted Rose, and Strawberry. 
From Maggie Ward. A blend of 95% Silk and 5% Lycra give these pants the perfect drape, sheen, and stretch. They work with flats (ballet, open sandals, flip-flops - you name it,) with an attention-grabbing wedge, or even a date-night pump. It's a great pant that'll give you lots of opportunity to shine!

Happy Earth Day! How appropriate that we're blogging about these fab new totes we just got in from 44 Knots! They are cut from recycled sails, which makes them environmentally-responsible, sturdy, and water-repellent. Each one is stitched with a whimsical applique, adorned with a vintage scarf, and couldn't be any cuter! 
Local designer/shop owner, Lara Collins, just dropped off these amazing new necklaces. Created by her talented hands, these leather and suede bibs suspend from an antiqued brass chain and boast a cool modern-hippy vibe. We think they're the perfect statement accessory to throw on with a basic white tank and cutoffs combo. Yes, it's that simple! 
And this is just a small sampling of my personal favorites. Sam Edelman, Jeffrey Campbell, Seychelles, Dolce Vita! They've all turned out sandals, wedges, flats, and thongs to complete, or even make the outfit. Detail is key. Embellishment is essential. You won't find anything basic about our shoes. Don't act surprised, c'mon, this is Root! 
Need a light and bright clutch to tote your out-and-about-necessities this summer? We have proudly stocked the shop with these wood, straw, and raffia creations by Mar y Sol. They've been blowing out the door, but not to worry, another shipment is on its way. (P.S. We have beach totes, too!) 
So what if I get excited a lot? Every new addition to the shop is a breath of fresh air! And I am especially fired up about Roberta Freymann's assortment of hand block-printed tunics. They are an ideal weight for the Texas climate, make a chic cover up for the beach or pool, and can be paired with your favorite worn-in jeans just as easily and appropriately as a crisp white pair of trousers.
If you've never had the pleasure of wearing a Rachel Pally creation, please, treat yourself! You deserve it. Her fabric forgives and her shapes flatter every figure. The fits are insanely comfortable, colors are rich, and styling...perfectly versatile. No need to be intimidated by the endless length of her maxi dresses - she has thoughtfully left the hem unfinished. A patient hand and a sharp pair of scissors and you'll be good to go! We must warn, like tattoos and Lay's Potato Chips, you can't have just one. 
A few new pieces from Trina Turk have sure brightened the place up! Her original prints are as always, right on target. I'm loving the bold use of greens in this spring story. It's so fresh! Add a bunch of gold bangles, a big sun hat, and an icy Mojito to complete the look.
