Texas Monthly - May Issue

The kind folks at Texas Monthly have given us props, and we're so flattered! They devoted a couple of their coveted editorial pages to the shops of East Main Street, listed their top 8 picks and included a shopping guide. Click on the individual pages above for a close up.

Not mentioned this time, but definitely not to be missed is our very own Roadrunner Inn, which sits up above Root and Beulah's. Summer weekends are filling up fast, so plan your shopping get-a-way and book some YOU time!

The List

Shop Across Texas has published their list of the top 45 stores in Texas and 5 of them are located in Fredericksburg - that's more stores per capita than any town in Texas! So it's not surprising that Fredericksburg also won the award for Best Retail in a Small Town. We're flattered to be included in such a fine group of retailers. Be sure to visit the site and see who else made the cut.

French Connection & InStyle

We were featured in an editorial piece, titled Clothes We Love, in last month's InStyle Magazine. It was neat to be mentioned in such a highly regarded publication. It would have been even neater, though, if the InStylers would have included our store name along with our phone number. The safari striped skirt by French Connection is not available until late April, but we are currently taking orders. We also have French Connection's high waited skirts in a pretty floral & butterfly print and a solid olive. A waist-cinching belt completes the look, which, according to InStyle, "craves a tank and a beaded necklace." And we have those, too. Sounds like we're your one-stop-shop!
